Holiday Eats!

Eating healthily on holidays is definitely a challenge however always thinking about the best choices is the way to go ! Sure we can splurge every now and then , even daily however for dinner we try to do the best we can most of the time . This evening we did a BBQ with plenty of veggies to fill up the plate . Easy and breezy!


As you can see lots and lots of veg! Despite the peas corn and carrots being the frozen kind - it’s still veg! As you can see the porterhouse steak has fat trimmed off and its medium - ish  sized chunk to be added to the plate as part of a balanced meal. BBQ Sausages ? Best to avoid generally due to their high concentration of fat but again it’s all about moderation!

This algorithm again show the ups and downs of glucose levels over the course of the afternoon and evening . Despite glucose levels being high on the afternoon, they were able to come down remain steady enough . As this meal was consumed at 6pm and the screenshot was taken at 8pm , it plain to see that levels have not spiked post meal. Appropriate eating , physical activity and the right insulin regime can only lead to better outcomes - we hope !!!
